Welcome to the 1st International Round Table on Fatigue & Fracture (F&F 2025), which will be held in person at the State University “Kyiv Aviation University” and online via Zoom on October 15, 2025.

Venue of the Round Table: Kyiv, 1 Liubomyra Huzara Avenue, State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute”, Building 11, Room 220.

The meeting will start at 9:00 a.m.

– Fatigue: Fatigue Damage, Fatigue Monitoring, Life Prediction, Multiaxial Fatigue, Fatigue Crack Initiation, Residual Stress Effects on Fatigue Damage, Fatigue Mechanisms, Fretting Fatigue.

– Fracture: Damage Tolerance, Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics, Elastic Plastic Fracture Mechanics, Damage Mechanics, Dynamic Fracture, Crack Propagation, Design against Fracture.

On October 15, 2025, the Department of Aircraft Design held the “First International Round Table on Fatigue and Fracture” The event’s goal was to strengthen relationships with the department’s traditional partners and establish new promising connections. The discussion involved scientists from: Australia (Monash University), Brazil (Universidade Estadual de Campinas), France (Lille, Centrale Lille Institut), Czech Republic (Technical University in Prague), Germany (Saarland University), Poland (Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology), The USA and Leading Ukrainian research centres also participated: A.M. Pidhornyi Institute of Power Machines and Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU), Polissia National University, National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, S. P. Timoshenko Institute of Mechanics of NASU, National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute”, G.S. Pisarenko Institute for Problems of Strength of NASU, G. V. Kurdyumov Institute for Metal Physics of NASU, “Progresstech-Ukraine” LLC.

The main conclusion was the existence of a mutual and sincere interest in cooperation. Therefore, the Department of Aircraft Design will continue to develop contacts and propose ideas that can be implemented both in Ukraine and worldwide.
