{"id":420,"date":"2023-09-02T13:31:28","date_gmt":"2023-09-02T10:31:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aki.kai.edu.ua\/?page_id=420"},"modified":"2026-03-02T22:47:40","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T19:47:40","slug":"history_kla","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aki.kai.edu.ua\/en\/history_kla\/","title":{"rendered":"History of the Aircraft Design Department"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The history of the Aircraft Design Department begins in 1932, when at the Kiev Institute for Machines construction the Department of Design and Structural Mechanics was organized.<br \/>\nIn 1933 the Kiev Aviation Institute was established and the Aircraft Design Department has become the part of Institute.<br \/>\nSince 2000 Aircraft Design Department is a part of the Aerospace Institute (Faculty) of the National Aviation University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>HEADS OF THE DEPARTMENT BEGEENING FROM 1932<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7769 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/aki.kai.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/1_1-eng-e1586768003485.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"548\" height=\"352\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since 2000 the Aircraft Design Department is headed by professor S. Ignatovich.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-3443 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/aki.kai.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/image020.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"186\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Currently, the team of lectures and researches combines the teaching with research and development.<br \/>\nThe staff of the department consists of two professors, six associate professors, one senior teacher. Two members of the department support the researches,<br \/>\nseven person work at the unique hanger with aircraft, others support the educational process.<br \/>\n\u201cFatigue and Fracture\u201d lab equipment provides conditions for the high level of researches conducted by Masters and PhD students as well as for the students involved into the special programs of the Institute of Innovative Technologies and Leadership.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The history of the Aircraft Design Department begins in 1932, when at the Kiev Institute for Machines construction the Department of Design and Structural Mechanics was organized.
